David Archuleta has this charisma that most of the Filipinos go for a music artist. Easy to sing-along melody, words that a teen can relate to, and soulful delivery of the song. He may have not won AI but then he has won the hearts of the pop listeners.
David Archuleta has more great songs which the teens of today can relate to. Plus, the melody are singable.
Okay. My vote is David Archuleta..I like cook, I think he is a really great singer, funny and nice. BUT I really LOVE DAVID ARCHULETA. He is just really AWESOME, GREAT, FANTASTIC in every way. david ARCHULETA is my favorite because he’s the CRUSHER and he has an amazing voice and so humble and so down-to-earth and funny and i mean really funny and you can ask cook about it and i’m sure he’ll agree with me.

im a big fan of david archuleta. and i always will be. this amazing young man does not only have the vocal chops that can blow me away with any song he sings anytime of the day, he also is a great role model that everyone can look up to. im no longer a teen (though i wish i were!) and old enough to be his older sister but that doesnt stop me from being one of his biggest fan. i love everything about him – from his soul piercing, hauntingly beautiful and out-of-this-word amazing voice to his sweet, adorable,humble,gracious and awkward self. he is one in a million and i feel blessed to have found him and his beautiful music.

am speaking with all honesty and fairness. The best David for me would be David Archuleta. Why? First of all, not all male singers could sing a variety of music genre. We’ve all heard him sang on idol given different themes (or genre) and they all sounded fascinating. Second, not all male singers have a large number of supporters ranging from young to old, girls to guys etc. And lastly, what made him the best for me is his voice that is really unique and has that ability to move you and inspire you.
which david? david archuleta, of course. though i like cook, i think david archuleta is better. not to start an argument or anything, but david archuleta really zooms past cook, for me. he’s really soulful, and he has a good heart and personality.
I’m really loving David Cook’s CD. I listen to it all the time. It’s one of those rare CDs where every single song including the bonus and hidden tracks are great. It’s got a great range of songs from harder-edged rockers to ballads all tied together with David’s powerful voice. The David Cook CD is one powerful offering and I’m very much looking forward to the tour and hearing these songs performed live.

I really think that David Archuleta puts enough emotions in every song he sings. He just have that powerful voice and appealing charisma that can stand the test of time. Nowadays, those characteristics equal the term “longevity” when talking about the career. With a powerful album on his belt, no one can deny that David Archuleta or Archie as his fans call him is storming both radios and music stores.
Well, no one can take the crown from American Idol Season 7 winner David Cook. In fairness to this rocker from Kansas, he can really move listeners by his songs. He has this appeal that adults love compare to Archuleta whose fanbase is commonly teenagers. His album is also nice considering the span of time he made it.
I really don’t think that there’s a point of comparison between these two. Why? Well, it is because they are simply different from each other. One is a rocker while the other is a balladeer. They both have different markets. With all the success they are having with their career, there’s no doubt that America chose the best top two.
David Cook is the best singer and performer because he is very passionate about his music and is very open with his feeling. His album is a reflection of himself. from the hard edge rock songs of Bar-ba-sol, KOTN and Heroes to his sensitivity of Permanent and Avalance. The album is eclectic, so every song has a different meaning to each listener. One of my favorite songs on the album is Mr.Sensitive because for me it is David Cook. It is the first album I have owned that I really love every single song and do not get tired of listening to it.
David Archuleta of course. Wow this kid is just amazing not only is he amazingly talented but he is the most humble,genuine, sweetest person you could ever meet. He cares about everyone around him and he is always smiling! He has proven that you dont have to win American Idol to be successful. His first single “Crush” has sold 1.4 million copies in sales so far, His album is gold and his second single A Little Too Not Over You has done really well. I am so proud of him he puts his heart and soul into every single one of his performances and into his album. He deserve all the success in the world. He is the TRUE American Idol and that is why I am not watching AI this year because no one can sing it betta than David Archuleta and I have already found my idol! Your fans love you David and we will support you no matter what

DAVID ARCHULETA! I love his music. Everyone loves his music, actually. My mom says she hates David A. But after i played his CD in the component, where she can hear it, not only me. She was like “Don’t you wanna play David’s CD?” the next day. She’s a Cookie by the way.
And in school, everybody knew I’m an Archie so everyone keeps (kinda) teasing me because of my massive obsession. But they can’t deny the fact that David is really great because the can’t help but to sing Crush every now and then.

Archuleta ALL THE WAY!!! Cook may be a tiny bit more popular than David A. as of the moment in the Phils., due to Always Be My Baby and Time of My Life which were bigger hits than DA’s current singles and even DC’s Light On and Avalanche combined. However, I still root for Archuleta to be more successful in the long run. He has that innate musicality of geniuses and the ability to touch not just the heart but the soul.
I like some of Cook’s songs and I think he is passionate in what he does, but Archuleta has always been my bet in the real world. To each his own…

I absolutely love David Archuleta. I admit that I’m an American Idol fan. I’ve been watching since season 3. But never was I interested in an artist until I saw David sing at his audition in San Diego. Then when he sang Imagine, I was hooked. He sang to my soul that night. His voice just reverberated throughout my being. He is so amazingly talented and yet is still so very humble. Not to mention, he is such a cutie too.
His album is also fantastic. I love every single song on it from ‘Crush’ to ‘Angels’ plus the bonus tracks. It delves into many genres of music like pop, rock, r&b, acoustic that it has a little something for everyone. I also have to say that David got me into music again after all these years. His passion for music is infectious.
I don’t know if I should praise him for that though, since I’ve been spending my money on CDs lately. lol.

After rewatching the whole AI7 season again, (yeah I know crazy) it was clear to me why so many people fell in love with David Cook. From the beginning of the show, David Cook is the only one who’s songs steadily improved over time and his singing ability is off the charts. Also, he was so full of emotion, we all fell in love with the sensitive side of Cook. The one that cares about his brother and Lindsey Rose. The man has a huge heart and that is what we all saw. We also fell in love with his sense of humor. He definitely is the whole package. We love his personality just as much as his amazing voice. The arrangements he did on the show are unbelievable. Archie may have a nice voice but he is nowhere near as talented and well rounded musically as David Cook is. David Cook puts so much thought, passion, and emotion into all of his songs. And lets not forget the physical transformation that happened on the show. I mean, wow, that was amazing to witness. The man became a Hot Rockstar in front of our eyes. When he sang with ZZ top on the finale night, you would of thought he had played with them for years. Such a natural with great stage presence.
And now on to David Cook’s album. It is fantastic. The songs are so well written and the album has something for everyone. “Permanent” is so heartwrenching and then you have Barbasol, a total rock song. I believe “Lie” (my favorite) is going to be a monster hit. If these songs are ever released as singles they probably will be huge also: Heroes, Avalanche, Declaration, Permanent, A Daily Anthem, Barbasol, Kiss on the Neck (one my favorites), Life on the Moon, Come Back to Me, and My Last Request. LOL, thats almost the whole album, since TOML and LO are already released and already hits. David Cook is and always will be my American Idol!! I will be his fan for life!

Mine’s David Archuleta. Why? Because he puts all this emotion in every song he sings, you can feel the emotion coming from him while he is singing. Listening to his songs, is refreshing.

David Archuleta, because he has inspired me in music a lot. Because of him, I’ve started to listen to more meaningful songs and not just those that sound nice, and it’s also partly because of him that I’ve started taking piano lessons after watching him play it amazingly. I also love his album by the way. He has definitely shown us that ballads are not the only types of songs he sings. He has a diverse fanbase that ranges from girls to boys and from young to old.

DAVID ARCHULETA, no doubt about that. He’s the one who made every girl’s heart melt from the moment he released that first tone from his lips. I really can’t believe that he is where he is right now. ok im not from the phillipines so i guess i cant win that contest but i dont care. i feel so incredibly stronly that DAVID ARCHULETA should have won american idol. if he did, he would have been, without a doubt, the best idol yet. even though he didnt win, he already is. not only because of his incredible debut album which still, too months after release is high on the charts and on everybody’s ipod, but also his inspirational story. a boy who just loves to sing finds out he has vocal paralysis. but he didn’t let that stop him. he could have proceeded in have a very risky surgery performed on him, but didn’t because he might not have been able to sing after it. so on his own, this strong, determined little boy beat vocal paralysis and wowed the judges, contestants, and viewers of american idol when he was just 16/17. David has inspired me in so many ways, i’ll try to list them all. for one, i used to curse…A LOT. but david inspired me and helped me to realize if i put my mind to something i can accomplish it. he just makes me want to be a better person. so for over 7 months now, i have been completely curse free, and it feels so good. he also inspired me to go out and make the world a happier place. so a few days before christmas (and his birthday) i went out and delivered food and toys to those less fortunate who wouldn’t be able to have those special items on christmas. whenever i saw the smile on the people’s faces, i thought of david’s smile and it just brightened my whole day. now i think all of america should find it just as remarkable as i do, that an 18 year old boy can have this much of an effect on a 13 year old girl’s life. without a doubt david archuleta is my favorite david. i wouldn’t trade his music for the world. i find comfort in all of his songs no matter what mood im in. i love you david, and i am and always will be your number one fan. great job, and keep it up!

hmmm..i love david archuleta because he has that special something that makes you want to hear him sing over and over and over again. i listen to a lot of music. different genres, different languages. but i’ve never been a fan of anyone until david archuleta came. i never watched american idol as religiously as i did season 7. i’m now a “fanatic fan” umm.. “rabid fan” of david archuleta! I scourge the net for anything that is new about him and i go crazy when he sings with that voice of his. and i absolutely love his personality on and off stage too. i’ve met(don’t take it literally) with a lot of people from all over the world because we all adore ARCHIE. He makes the world one. One world, one love, one david. I’ve never joined fansites before and i wasn’t really a tech-whiz but now i’m posting archu-news for two fansites which includes some complicated techie stuff. LOL. His ballads take us to another place. The real surprise for me in this album was the song “Desperate” which I suppose would be described as a rock/ballad. He will be sharing his beautiful music with us for many years to come and I am so looking forward to being one of those lucky fans who will be listening to this beautiful young man and his breathtaking voice all my life! If I’m in the mood to rock, I will listen to Cook. But when I want to be inspired or relaxed or just to have a treat for the ears, I find a lot more satisfaction in listening to David Archuleta’s music. Such a gifted artist and a truly inspirational singer.

My favorite David is David Archuleta. That being said, the only reason “the rivalry of the two seems endless” is because of the seemingly endless polls of this type, which keep pitting the two artists and their fans against one another. Enough already!
David Cook FTW! He is someone who is secured with what he wants in his life. He has a sense of maturity that really reflects in his music. He was able to create songs that are amazing in different ways! (from the rocking Bar-ba-sol, to the very heartfelt Permanent) At the same time he can tweak songs by other artists and can easily put his stamp on it.
I won’t say that David Cook is the greatest singer of all time, but he certainly has a great set of pipes! He has the ability to make every performance engaging to the audience, because of his voice, his energy and his charm. He certainly is an artist who is spectacular when performing live! DCTR is a good solid record, but the songs from the album sound a whole lot better when he performs it live! (Especially Bar-ba-sol and Kiss on the Neck!:D )
To each his own, and for me, my choice of david is no other than DAVID COOK!
David Archuleta is, in my opinion, unique to the music industry at this time. Yes, he is quite young, but his talent is huge. I’m not a teen or tween, but I’m finding much to love on his album. Barriers is funky and mature, To Be With You is hauntingly beautiful, and A Little Too Not Over You is just so singable.

i have both their albums. i’m a fan of both artist. IMO, archie has better songs that cook. in cook’s cd, i like Lie, Declaration, Barbasol and Permanent. In archie’s cd, I LIKE ALL THE SONGS. I especially liked the bonus tracks. i hope sony bmg release a special edition of archie’s cd with all the bonus tracks.
David Archuleta is by far the winner and has been the most successful! But if you asked David Archuleta yourself he will be so humble and say that David Cook deserves it all. Dont get me wrong I like David Cook and all but I haven’t even heard his single on the radio, as much I have heard David Archuleta’s song Crush. Have you even flipped open a magazine? There are like 2 posters and about 3 articles about him in each magazine! I cant even recall the last time I’ve read an article on David Cook. On top of all that David Archuleta is a singing prodigy, he is only 18. I think David Archuleta doesnt get recognized enough, he is 18 and he wasnt raised in hollywood its not like he got famous because of his parents are. No. He got famous becaus of his ability to sing like an angel. An as I said before I like David Cook but he already won American Idol, lets let David Archuleta win this poll after all he does deserve it!

David Archuleta is my ultimste idol of all the past American Idol seasons. He transcends the title even if he did not win it. At his youthful age of 18, he has proven to the world that a young man can be so much respected and admired for such strength of character and enormous talent that can only stem from a positively infectious spirit, an amazingly prodigious but extremely humble soul who has awakened hardened hearts to the simple joys of life. I am no teener, actually have teenagers and voting-age kids, but David Archuleta has revived my long dormant interest in any music for the past few decades. He has made me feel young in spirit again and made me a happier soul.

I Love the half face shot of the two Davids. Very cool! I must say I love both of these amazing artists, but my vote goes to DAVID COOK. His voice is so unique and I love the fact that he writes his own music. I haven’t been this excited about a new artist in a very long time. His new CD is brilliant. His earlier work is genius . I can’t believe he was so profound at such a young age. He is so versatile and he can sing in so many different styles. Havig said that, David Archuleta is very talented and will be successful as well. Idol had a windfall with these two, and I don’t think there will ever again be so much talent in the top two finalists. David Cook will be in the business for many years, and I DA will be as well.

1. It’s an American Reality show. It’s not Obama’s inauguration, darling. Local TV has adapted “Pinoy Idol” to represent “us”.
2. Sure, because 12 million votes is the measure of talent, creativity and longevity. It just means a few hundred or thousand fans voting their fingers off, or their ghost mouses and other voting bots off. 12 million votes doesnt mean 12 million people. Or he should’ve run up against Obama. But only “MATH” Nerds would know that though.
3. Good for Cook that he’s singing for the troops though, kudos to that! Nothing against Cook. Just his extremely rude fans. Cook and David should do charity work together then, especially since Archie has always been visiting and inspiring sick kids at countless of Children’s hospitals and even wishes to visit the Leper colony in India (Indonesia?).

I would vote for both david cook and david archuleta becuase they are great singers and they are so tallented guys I liked both of them on american Idol last year and they were great. they both have a great vocie and they started their career after idol ended during the tour and during season 7. Jordin sparks actullay was the yougest becuase she was 16 years old on american idol but david is the yougest guy on the show though. and she is the youngest girl on the show also. they are both popular now from all of the fans of all three of them.
Russia loves David Archuleta! I have a CD of David Archuleta that was sent to me by mail from my friend in United States and I cant stop listening to it. We dont have his CD in stores here yet…so I am getting more CDs from teamarchie people to give to my friends. David is a true star. His voice goes deep into my heart and soul. His performance videos and videos of meeting fans are amazing. David has the most beautiful energy around him. He is like an angel. I have never seen a singer who can be that down to earth, so talented and so generous with him time and so attentive to his fans. I LOVE DAVID ARCHULETA! I have a question though…Why when I voted for David Archuleta and refreshed the page the votes did not change? What am I doing wrong?

I don`t mean to brag, but being able to write 10 out of 12 songs in your CD is amazing.
Clearly, you see that I pick David Cook. First, because…he won! Obviously! Second, he has more experience which makes him a more well-rounded performer. Third, his irresistible smile and that rocker-type of voice will surely melt any girl`s heart, and even kids` and adults` hearts, too!My friend gave me his CD and everyone whom I show it to screams for joy and excitement! He is very caring and down-to-earth, no bad boy attitude here. He has a tight bond with his family and friends. Now, who wouldn`t want that for a boyfriend?
He has a different kind of voice that other artists don`t have that makes him special. He doesn`t copy other people, unique and yet breathtaking. Need I say more?
